There are several efforts and tools available to support neighborhood revitalization.
Best known is the Midtown Truman Road Corridor Redevelopment Corporation which has been working our neighorhood for over a decade.
The
Mid-America Regional Council recently created a $2 million low-interest loan program fund the remodeling and modernization of qualified homes in those communities known as the “
First Suburbs.” Independence is one of the First Suburbs and our neighborhood qualifies. To read more about it
